Business Developer Germany

Fulltime · Stager Headquarters

Your role

As Business Developer Germany, you play a key role in accelerating Stager's growth in the German market. Working alongside our Business Developer Germany, you help build relationships, acquire new customers, and position Stager as the preferred partner for the event industry — venues, theaters, clubs, promoters and festivals — in Germany. You report to our Business Development Manager, who is based in the Netherlands.

What will you do?

  • You conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the German event industry

  • You actively acquire new customers and build relationships with venues, clubs, festivals, theaters and other relevant partners

  • You maintain and grow relationships with existing German customers, running regular business reviews and leading contract renewals

  • You present Stager's platform to potential customers and make the case for why it fits their needs

  • You attend trade fairs, conferences and networking events to represent Stager in Germany

  • You share market insights and customer feedback with Marketing and Product to sharpen Stager's positioning

  • You contribute to sales materials, scripts and playbooks, and mentor junior colleagues

Who are you?

We're looking for a commercially driven business developer who knows how to open doors in the German events market, and keep them open. You combine consultative selling with genuine curiosity about your customers' business, and you're just as comfortable prospecting new accounts as managing an existing portfolio. You bring structure to your own pipeline and contribute to how the wider team sells.

  • 3 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years in SaaS or tech, with a demonstrable track record in new business and account management

  • HBO degree (or equivalent) in Commercial Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus

  • Solid understanding of the B2B SaaS model (ARR, churn, NPS) and the events sector; you're aware of the competitive landscape for event management software

  • Proven consultative selling skills: you diagnose customer needs before pitching and handle objections with confidence

  • An existing network in the German events sector is a strong plus

  • Proficient in Google Workspace, and comfortable analyzing pipeline data in Pipedrive to spot trends in conversion and pipeline health

  • Able to confidently demo a complex SaaS platform independently

  • Self-directed, commercially driven and customer-first; you see team success as equally important as hitting your own targets

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Based in Germany, with the willingness to travel to the Netherlands regularly (roughly once a month) to connect with the team
